IDENTIFICATION SERVICES

Services listed below may serve minors directly or may require applicants to be at least 18 years old. If you do not find the service you need below, please consider calling the agency closest to your needs to inquire about referrals.

Central Outreach and Advocacy Center
Mon-Thurs 9:00 aM-12:30 pM


This agency assists with obtaining identification (birth certificates, GA ID card). Additional services include Food Stamp applications and renewals, housing assistance, and specialized information and referrals for the homeless. 
Eligibility - ages 18+ only
Costs - None
Steps
  • Identification Services
    • Mon-Thurs 
Walk-in to get in line for appointment; appointments are on a first come first served basis; a line for appointment begins forming around 7:00 am
  • No documents required to bring 
If getting a birth certificate for employment or housing, a referral letter is needed
  • Food Stamp Assistance
    • Tues & Thurs
    • Must bring any Photo ID
  • Housing Assistance
    • 1st & 3rd Thurs of each month
  • Homeless Verification Letters
    • Can be done at the door. Don’t require you to see a case manager
Timeline - The process can vary depending on the documents the individual needs and/or already has. There is no exact time limit because every case always varies a bit.
